James Barrie is one of our newest Avodah corps members. Originally from Fremont, CA, he graduated from the College of William & Mary in Virginia this spring and is eager to spend the next chapter of his life in direct service. His educational focus in Religious Studies gave him an appreciation for diverse experiences and the role of faith in community life and organizing. He hopes through this year to learn from the justice work happening on the ground and gain a better understanding of the processes and attitudes involved in social change. In his spare time, James enjoys playing the guitar and keeping up with baseball and hockey.
