Torrey D. Williams is a passionate advocate and experienced leader in the field of reentry and community development. As the New Director of Economic Empowerment at First 72+, he brings over eight years of dedicated service supporting justice-involved individuals on their path to successful reintegration and economic independence.

A proud graduate of St. Augustine High School, Torrey’s early leadership began as a leader of the renowned Marching 100 Band, setting the tone for a life rooted in discipline, vision, and service. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Southern University A&M College, where he was also a proud member of the Human Jukebox marching band.

Torrey is a devoted Christian and active member of Beautiful Zion Baptist Church, where his faith continues to guide his life and leadership. He is also a committed member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., embodying the fraternity’s principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift in both his personal and professional life.

With a spirit that is both approachable and visionary, Torrey D. Williams continues to lead with purpose, passion, and an unwavering commitment to faith, community, and lasting change.
