Tracy's passion lies in overhauling systems that continue to oppress marginalized groups of people. After receiving her bachelor's of science in Hospitality Management from Colorado State University, she moved to New Orleans.
Tracy began working in hospitality, but as she continued in the field, the racial and class disparities within New Orleans' hospitality industry and the city at large became very evident. As a transplant she knew it was important that she mindfully contribute to the city, while not taking away from its culture and resources.
After working at HI New Orleans, a hostel and nonprofit, she then worked in development and operations at City Year New Orleans. These experiences deepened her desire to push for social justice and create equitable foundations. As The First 72+'s Economic and Development Manager, Tracy is eager to spread the organization's mission and maintain resources to keep the work moving forward through a community-centered approach.
While not working, she likes finding creative ways to express herself, getting carried away in music, and practicing grounding techniques.
