Yael Waxman

Yael is very excited to be serving as the 2026-2027 Avodah Service Corps member at The First 72+. Graduating from Tufts University in 2026, she spent a large portion of her college career engaging in reentry and educational justice work with the Tufts University Prison Initiative of Tisch College (TUPIT). This past summer she moved down to Louisiana excited to serve the community and help make the transition for returning citizens easier as they exit one chapter of their lives and enter a new one.

In the office Yael assists with public benefits, social media, the hygiene and food pantry, and anything else any given day calls for! She loves engaging with every person and seeing the real-time impact of direct services, especially as community members continue to return and build relationships. Yael is honored to be a part of this team and hopes to see you if and when you walk through the front doors.
